APG and TH Real Estate have signed the first tenants for the 1.7m sq ft St James Centre redevelopment in Edinburgh since the Dutch pension fund bought a 75% stake last month. Next is taking a 50,000 sq ft anchor store on a 15-year lease, while Everyman Cinemas has signed a 20-year lease for a 17,300 sq ft, five-screen cinema. St James will also include a 214-bedroom W Hotel and 150 flats. It is due to open in 2020.
