Everyman will open five new cinemas this year, but has said it is now taking a “more measured approach” to expansion.
The chain, which has 130 cinema screens across 38 venues, will open a new site in Durham next month, with further openings expected in Salisbury, Northallerton, Plymouth and Marlow later in the year.
In a trading update this morning, Everyman said: “The group remains committed to organic expansion with excellent opportunities available for new sites. The directors however are taking a more measured approach to new site opening.”
