Real estate veteran John Cartwright has died aged 69.
The former chief executive of the Association of Real Estate Funds had a 35-year career in real estate. He was most recently a non-executive director of LXi REIT, and was previously head of institutional and retail funds at M&G Real Estate.
Cartwright passed away on 28 November.
LXi chair Cyrus Ardalan said: “We are all deeply saddened by the passing of John Cartwright and our condolences and sympathies are very much with his family and loved ones at this terribly difficult time.
“John was a highly valued and outstanding member of our board and he will be hugely missed by all who had the privilege to work with him. On behalf of everyone at LXi, the board and I wish to take this opportunity to sincerely thank John for his exemplary service, commitment, warmth and great contribution during his time on the board of LXi.”
Cartwright joined LXi’s board at its IPO in 2017.
