Exclusive Miller tipped to make development debut in Birmingham

href=”http://www.eginew.co.uk/Articles/ArtIcle.aspx?liArticleid=452058″>Miller Developments is tipped to have secured the controversial Snow Hill house site for its first scheme in Birmingham city centre.

href=”http://www.eginew.co.uk/Articles/ArtIcle.aspx?liArticleid=452058″>The developer, which opened an office in the city for the first time earlier this year, is thought to have beaten up to four other developers to secure the site on Livery Street. Interested parties were planning to redevelop the 1,500 sq m (16,146 sq ft) building Snow Hill House which stands there.

href=”http://www.eginew.co.uk/Articles/ArtIcle.aspx?liArticleid=452058″>Nick Harris, head of Miller Developments in Birmingham, was unavailable for comment but the site – which can sustain a new development of up to 8,427 sq m (90,710 sq ft) has been withdrawn from the market.

href=”http://www.eginew.co.uk/Articles/ArtIcle.aspx?liArticleid=452058″>Freeholder Scottish Widows put Snow Hill House back to the market following its failure to complete a £4m deal with developers Sir Robert McAlpine and Business Homes.

href=”http://www.eginew.co.uk/Articles/ArtIcle.aspx?liArticleid=452058″>Richard Ellis is advising Miller. Grimley is selling the site for Scottish Widows.
