Sun Life Group is understood to have sold its brand new Bristol Parkway headquarters to a mystery buyer in a £75m sale and leaseback deal.
Investment experts have suggested that the purchaser could be a German fund, although the price tag does not rule out UK institutions.
Sun Life is moving around 2,200 staff into the 37,160 sq m (400,000 sq ft) building, which is being officially opened on Tuesday. At the moment employees are in a handful of offices scattered throughout Bristol city centre.
