The Eyre Estate has appointed former Canada Pension Plan Investment Board director Sarah Slater as its new chief executive following Ted Johnson’s retirement after 17 years at the helm.
Slater will take up the post on 3 April to lead the estate through the next phase of its evolution.
She has over 25 years’ experience in a variety of strategic positions. Over the past five years at CPPIB, Slater had responsibility for developing and implementing the real estate investment programme in Europe together with overall responsibility for asset management and performance of the portfolio. Prior to that she was a director and fund manager at ING REIM and Henderson Global Investors. Slater is on the board of GRIP REIT, the UK’s largest residential REIT and is a trustee of the Dulwich Estate, as well as a member of the IPF Strategic Advisory Board.
The Eyre Estate is one of London’s oldest family estates. It is centred in St John’s Wood, but also owns a substantial and expanding commercial investment portfolio across the UK.
