F&C REIT gets green light for Derby homes

F&C REIT has been granted planning consent to turn a disused site in Derby into 108 homes.

The 7-acre site in Sinfin, Derby, comprises cleared land and a vacant pre-war industrial unit that has remained virtually unused for several years.

Maurice Fitzgerald, development director at F&C REIT, said: “The final proposal evolved through extensive discussions with the council, which helped establish a strong working relationship. The proposals respond to local issues, and fully address points raised by all parties concerned. We trust the plans will be a catalyst for regeneration of the Sinfin area”

The announcement follows last month’s news that F&C REIT had been granted consent for the redevelopment of the 16.5-acre Dukeminster Industrial Estate in Dunstable, paving the way for the provision of 172 houses, a convenience store and a nursery.
