F&C REIT gets nod for major expansion of Network 46

  F&C REIT Asset Management has won consent for a major expansion at its Network 46 Distribution Park in Lincolnshire, which when complete will be the county’s largest distribution facility.   The firm will add a further 960,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse space to the existing 1.2m sq ft already at the distribution park.   The 65-acre park, which is situated on the former RAF Swinderby base on the A46 between Lincoln and Newark-on-Trent, will see new units of up to 630,000 sq ft, to compliment the newly constructed 100,000 sq ft facility for Danwood, UK Mail’s 10,000 sq ft unit and two remaining units of 20,000 sq ft and 35,000 sq ft.   Maurice Fitzgerald, development director at F&C REIT, said: “We are aware of the regional demand for new distribution space and Network 46 will fill the gap.   “Buildings from 50,000 sq ft to 630,000 sq ft are available on a design and build, lease or sale basis.”   Local agent Pygott & Crone and GVA Grimley are joint agents for the development.   lisa.pilkington@rbi.co.uk
