F&C REIT has received planning permission for the residential redevelopment of a disused site in Derby.
The firm plans to transform the 50-acre Sinfin site, which comprises cleared land and vacant pre-war industrial units, into a 700-home community.
The plans include improvements to the habitats of protected species. Work on the £115m scheme is scheduled to begin within 18 to 24 months.
