Facebook’s European HQ for sale in Irish portfolio

Nama-THUMB.jpegFacebook’s European HQ in Dublin is among a €263.8m (£211.5m) portfolio of office buildings put up for sale by Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency.

CBRE and JLL have been instructed by Nama to sell the 365,000 sq ft ‘Tara Collection’ on behalf of a number of vendors and receivers.

Trophy buildings in the portfolio include the Daniel Libeskind-designed 4 & 5 Grand Canal Square, which are offered individually at €102.2m and €113.8m respectively.

Facebook rents both buildings, totalling 250,522 sq ft, under two separate leases.

The Tara Collection comprises five properties. A sale would allow a single buyer to acquire a major stake in the Dublin office market, or the buildings could be offered piecemeal.

Other buildings in the sale include 55,923 sq ft Alexandra House in Ballsbridge.
