Footfall falls as rain keeps shoppers away

Footfall on the high street fell by 4.3% in November, as rain kept shoppers away.

The number of visitors to retail parks also declined, by 1.8%. The figures, from Springboard, do not take Black Friday into account, as 29 November falls outside the reporting period.

Early data suggests that the event pushed footfall up by 3.3% on last year.
