Family homeless after shoddy building work

A family is homeless after inspectors told them that building work to their home had left it uninhabitable.

The Wakeling family paid £25,000 for a dormer bedroom and a bathroom to be added to their bungalow in Lancashire.

The builder concerned left the work unfinished after being unable to continue due to health issues, and inspectors subsequently told the Wakelings that the property was unsafe and could fall down.
