Fashion chain New Look acquires five new stores

Fashion chain New Look has acquired five new outlets as part of a major expansion programme in the East Midlands and the South East.

The new stores are in: Barnet, North London; Harlow in Essex; Wellingborough in Northamptonshire; and Bexleyheath and Hounslow in Greater London.

  • Barnet: Units 3 and 4 of The Spires Shopping Centre. 269 sq m (2,895 sq ft) of sales space on the ground and first floor: New 15 year lease at £52,500 per annum, subject to five year rent reviews with a rent-free period.
  • Harlow: 35 Broadwalk. 573 sq m (6,168 sq ft), including a ground floor sales area, basement and first floor ancilliary space. The lease expires in March 2012. The rent of £95,000 per annum is subject to rent reviews in 1997 and every five years thereafter with a six-month rent-free period.
  • Wellingborough: 14/15 Corn Lane, Arndale Centre. 314 sq m (3,380 sq ft) on ground and basement levels. 25 year lease from March 1997 at £58,950 per annum with five year rent reviews.
  • Bexleyheath: 3, The Mall, The Broadway Centre. 450 sq m (4,843 sq ft) on ground and first floors. 25 year lease from June 1983 at £128,000 per annum.
  • Hounslow: 174 High Street. 226sq m (2,432 sq ft) of ground floor sales and ancillary accommodation. 25 year lease from September 1983 at £79,000 with five year rent reviews.
