Fattal Hotel Group acquires Southampton hotel leasehold

Fattal Hotel Group has acquired a 125-year leasehold for the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton for £29m.

The hotel will be operated by Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland, and will be rebranded over the coming months.

It includes 173 rooms and suites, two dining areas, 13 meeting and event rooms and holds a total capacity of 500 people.

Fattal’s deal comes weeks after it signed a joint agreement with Pandox to buy the Midland Hotel in Manchester for £115m.

David Fattal, chief executive of Fattal Hotel Group, said: “We are delighted to have acquired the Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton, which is another step in our strategic plan to extend our foothold in the UK and to position the group as one of the UK’s most significant hotel owner and operators.”
