Fenchurch buys 8-acre Bracknell site

Beaufort Park

Fenchurch Estates has acquired the 8-acre former Met Office site at Beaufort Park, near Bracknell, Berkshire for £5.5m.

The developer is planning 50,000 sq ft of speculative offices on the site, supported by a facility from Julian Hodge Bank.

Fenchurch managing director Mark Fernandez said: “The architecture will be cutting edge and the specification will be grade A. Emphasis will be placed on sustainability in this eco-sensitive location and we will achieve our goals through careful design.”

Rents have risen steadily in neighbouring Thames Valley locations with £28 per sq ft being achieved in Maidenhead.

Fryer Holt and Strutt & Parker, which advised on the acquisition, is retained as joint letting agent. PRC has been appointed architect.

Completion is scheduled for June 2009.
