People popping to the pub over the Christmas period has boosted Mitchells & Butlers’ like-for-like sales by 5.6% over the three week festive period.
The All Bar One and Miller & Carter operator said that it had achieved record growth of 6.5% across the five key days of the period.
For the 14 weeks to January4, the group’s first quarter, it reported a 2.6% like-for-like sales increase, largely helped by a 4% growth in the last seven weeks.
