Forman Hardy Holdings, headed by Nicholas Forman Hardy, has applied to Nottingham Council for consent to develop a low energy 14,864 sq m (160,000sq ft) office scheme with 929sq m (10,000sq ft) of shops in the city centre.
The company is seeking planning consent to clear a site bounded by Forman Street, South Sherwood Street, Burton Street and Trinity Road. Part of the site is occupied by the Nottingham Evening Post and one facade of the proposed development would face the city’s Royal Theatre.
Chesterton’s Mark FitzPatrick said the developer had sought the views of local agents on the scheme, but agents had not yet been appointed. “There is a lot of retail and office development in the city, but I think it has great potential if it is done properly, ” he said.
