Fiera Real Estate and its BTR platform Packaged Living have received planning consent for an £80m scheme in Piccadilly East, Manchester.
The 352-flat scheme was approved by a delegated decision from Manchester City Council.
The Castings, designed by CallisonRTKL architects, comprises a mix of one, two and three-bedroom flats with roof gardens, a residents lounge and entertaining suites that open onto a new square and public realm.
Fiera acquired the 0.7-acre site on Heyrod Street as its first BTR scheme for £6m in January 2020, on behalf of the Fiera Real Estate Opportunity Fund V UK. The fund has since picked up a second scheme in Cardiff and is targeting £250m of value add and opportunistic transactions. Packaged Living has a 3,000-home pipeline in the UK.
