Ben Pickering, a film producer who worked with Burt Reynolds and John Hannah, has been jailed for masterminding a £5m property scam.
Swansea Crown Court heard how the 35 year old owner of Jericho Lane Productions invented a string of characters over eight years and made fake mortgage applications relating to 30 properties.
Pickering, who had been a prospective Conservative Party parliamentary candidate, was sentenced to six years in prison.
