AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has made a final close on its pan-European Value-Added Venture Fund.
The fund has raised a total of €445m (£338m) from a global institutional investor base and with 50% leverage will have a firepower of €890m.
The fund will pursue a value-added strategy investing in France, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain and the Nordics.
Primary sector focus will be office, retail and logistics but it will also be able to invest in hotels, healthcare, residential and other alternatives.
So far the fund has committed 75% of equity across eight acquisitions in the UK, Spain and Italy. Among those was Assembly London, W6, and St Andrews House, in London’s Midtown.
