Motor group Reg Vardy is building its new headquarters on the last major chunk of space available at Akeler’s Doxford International Business Park in Sunderland.
Vardy has acquired a 1.5ha (3.69 acre) site for the 4,715 sq m (50,750 sq ft) building.
Future plans for the site could also include a call centre and space for the contract-hire side of the business.
Trevor Silver, managing director of Akeler Developments, said: “This deal marks the disposal of the last phase of development land on the Park.”
Around 57,270 sq m (616,450 sq ft) of offices has been built on the scheme since development started in 1991.
