Helical Bar back in the black
Helical Bar has returned to the black, delivering a pretax profit of £4.1m, up from a loss of £3.2m in its 2010 half-year results. The listed company’s net asset value was up 1p to 254p a share after its property portfolio rose in value by 0.9% over the period to the end of September.
Grainger NAV up 9.7%
Grainger, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord posted a 9.7% hike in its triple NAV in its full-year results to the end of September. The firm’s gross NAV rose 8.2% to 216p, and it delivered a profit before tax of £26.1m compared with a loss of £20.8m last year.
Turnover and profit up at L&S
London & Stamford reported increases in turnover and profit for the six months ended 30 September. Its NAV dropped from 120.7p a share to 118.3p. Turnover rose from £15m in 2010 to £21.5m. Underlying trading profit more than doubled from £6.1m to £13m.
