PwC appoints Hampton
PwC has recruited a former Jefferies banker to lead its real estate deals business. The audit giant has appointed Simon Hampton, the former head of real estate, gaming and lodging at the investment bank, to the newly created position.
Clearbell rings up £500m
Clearbell Capital has raised almost £500m for its oversubscribed Clearbell Property Partners II fund. Equity commitments of £400m have been received, together with £97m of co-investment, exceeding its target of £300m.
Kennedy Wilson fuels Jupiter
Kennedy Wilson has secured £184m of financing for the Jupiter real estate portfolio, which it bought in June. Royal Bank of Scotland has provided the five-year loan secured against the 2.5m sq ft office and retail-led portfolio.
Allianz invests in IPUT
German insurer Allianz has committed to invest €140m (£110m) in Irish property fund IPUT in its first move into Irish real estate. The commitment from the Munich-based global financial services group boosts IPUT’s funds under management to €1.2bn.
Assura plans share issue
Primary care property developer Assura is planning to raise £155.2m through a share issue. The cash is earmarked to be used for a £95m pipeline of acquisitions, as well as to help reduce the firm’s net borrowings by around £55m.
