Colliers posts earnings lift
Colliers International chairman and chief executive Jay Hennick said 2015 had been a “transformational year” for the business in its annual results following its separation from FirstService Corporation. Earnings rose by 23.5% to $181.3m (£126m) while revenue was up by 9% to $1.7bn. Growth slowed in the final quarter to 3%, with revenues of $556.1m, following a bumper Q4 2014.
Countrywide appoints Long
Countrywide has appointed Peter Long, former chief executive of travel agent TUI, as its non-executive chairman. Long, who is also chairman of Royal Mail, will replace Grenville Turner in April.
Grainger to unload projects
Grainger has reiterated its strategy to simplify the company, saying that it would dispose of development projects it considered to be non-core. Over the four months to 31 January the company, which has £83m of live sales, posted a year-on-year rent rise of 7.8% in its PRS portfolio.
