Financial benefits provider signs for Fitzrovia HQ

Employee benefits provider Wagestream has agreed a deal to occupy 17,500 sq ft of office space on Rathbone Street, W1, as its new UK headquarters.

Market sources said Stevens Properties has leased the Garage at 7-9 Rathbone Street to the fintech company on a 10-year deal, with a break option at year five, at £100 per sq ft.

The Garage was built in 1905 by Truman Stevens, and was originally the London depot of the Albion Motor Car Company, serving until the 1920s as offices, showrooms and a repair garage for vehicles made in Scotland.

The property was refurbished last year to offer modern office space over five floors. It was redesigned by White Red Architects and introduced features including exposed concrete ceilings, a pioneering recycled fabric duct cooling system along with four new roof terrace areas.

Wagestream will relocate from 35 Gresse Street, W1

Bluebook advised Stevens Properties on the deal; CBRE acted for Wagestream.
