Luxury property developer Finchatton has been appointed to deliver Meyer Bergman’s £1bn regeneration of Whiteleys shopping centre in Bayswater.
The Grade-II listed building at Queensway, W2, is owned by a Meyer Bergman-advised fund and Warrior Group.
The site is located within the Queensway Conservation Area. Planning permission and listed building consent were granted by Westminster City Council in April 2016.
The scheme was designed by architects Foster + Partners and has consent for 129 homes and 100,000 sq ft of shops, a cinema and a hotel.
The apartments will comprise one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom corner units, duplexes and penthouses, set in the historic building.
A spokesperson for Finchatton said: “Meyer Bergman and Warrior Capital have appointed a number of leading consultants to strengthen their Whiteleys development team, including Foster + Partners, Gardiner & Theobald and Finchatton, due to their extensive experience in London residential development.”
Finchatton was founded in 2001. It has designed, managed and financed more than 60 major development projects globally, including 20 Grosvenor square, operated by Four Seasons, and Knights House, where prices started at £5.95m, or £3,716 per sq ft, for the two three-bedroom and one two-bedroom flats.
