A fire has broken out after an explosion at a chemical plant at SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the 462-acre estate, which has 7.5m sq ft of commercial space, after 10am following a large explosion at the Duco International building on Eastbourne Road.
More than 30 firefighters attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police said a 200m cordon was in place around the unit.
She said the blast is thought to have been caused by a chemical explosion. There are no reports of injuries.
Duco International provides printing and varnishing services for metal and plastic.
