Plans for a new civic quarter in Maidenhead town centre have been granted detailed planning permission.
The scheme, designed by EPR Architects and commissioned by Windsor and Maidenhead council, includes 80,000 sq ft (7,432 sq m) of offices, 35 flats and 4,500 sq ft (418 sq m) of shops and bars.
It will also include a new town hall and a performance venue and is to be built on council-owned land.
A developer for the scheme is expected to be announced imminently.
The civic quarter is one of the “four quarters” identified in Maidenhead’s revitalisation strategy, which aims to “resculpt” the town centre.
