The Battersea power station development has welcomed its first 100 residents to the Circus West Village complex, the first area to be completed.
Public access for shopping and leisure will not come until 2020, and the development will not be completed until 2026. Restoration of the original 1930s features is currently being carried out.
Around 85% of the homes that have been marketed – some 2,481 in total – have been sold, but the depressed luxury homes market means up to 90,000 square metres of office space could replace some flats.
