First Stop Hotels to develop budget concept nationwide

A new company First Stop Hotels is to develop a new budget hotel concept, City Inn, in six or seven of the UK’s biggest cities.

The first two are scheduled to open next year in Bristol and Glasgow, with 167 rooms each at a cost of less than £6.5m per hotel.

The company, headed by Sandy Orr and Donald MacDonald, hopes to establish the chain in Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London and possibly Aberdeen within three years.
