Northern Trust has secured three tenants for its Regents Drive industrial scheme in Prudhoe, Northumberland.
The 7,040 sq m (75,810 sq ft) scheme is the company’s first speculative development in the North East.
Lamco Technical Products has taken a 1,579 sq m (17,000 sq ft) unit at around £3.50 per sq ft, while Rooflight Systems has taken 758 sq m (8,162 sq ft) for around the same price. Astral Textiles has taken a 2 572 sq m (6,162 sq ft) unit at £18,750 pa.
A further 4,180sq m (45,000 sq ft) remains available and practical completion is expected by the end of January.
Simon Hill, development surveyor at Northern Trust, said: “The initial interest has been from local companies, but enquiries for the larger units have been from both national and international firms. We believe this development will draw inward investment to area.”
Northern Trust has developed Regents Drive with English Partnerships and One NorthEast, who have provided part of the £1.3m gap funding needed.
