Five Guys replaces Boujis in SW7

South Kensington night club Boujis, SW7, has closed permanently and an outlet run by US burger joint Five Guys will take the space.

The club, opposite South Kensington Underground station, opened in 1992 and was once frequented by Princes William and Harry. But it has recently faced complaints from the council.

The 3,250 sq ft club, owned by Ignite Group, had its license suspended after complaints of anti-social behaviour.

Ignite Group, which also owns Eclipse bars and Bumpkin restaurants in London, has surrendered its lease, granting a new 15-year lease to Five Guys, which will operate on three floors.

It is understood that the parties have been in negotiation for the site for at least a year.

The dining area will be located in the basement, where the club formerly operated, and there is also scope for additional outdoor seating at ground floor level.

The restaurant is expected to open by the end of September 2017.

James Andrew advised Ignite Group.
