Five leave Irwin Mitchell

Irwin-Mitchell-SolicitorsFive partners in Irwin Mitchell’s London real estate team have resigned to take positions at Dentons and Howard Kennedy.

Rob Thompson, Rupert Dowdell, Lewis Myers and Jayne Schnider have joined Dentons, while Martha Grekos has become a partner and head of planning at Howard Kennedy.

Before joining Dentons, Thompson, Dowdell and Myers specialised in property investment and development and Schnider was head of corporate real estate at Irwin Mitchell.

Grekos previously led the planning and infrastructure team in London.

Brandon Ransley, UK managing partner at Irwin Mitchell, said: “These partners have worked together for many years, and their arrival will add heavyweight investment expertise to our credentials, while significantly enhancing our existing capacity to deliver the corporate and finance aspects of big-ticket real estate transactions, both in the UK and internationally.”

A spokesman at Irwin Mitchell said: “Our Business Legal Services team has been growing quickly and we have seen a number of people join us in recent weeks and months.

“As with any other business however, people also leave from time to time and we wish them well in their next ventures.”

Grekos’ move follows Dentons’ appointment of former Nabarro lawyer Jonathan Cantor as partner in June.
