Flex provider to transform London Bridge offices

Flexible office provider Creo London will turn the Grade II listed Mary Sheridan House, at 15 St Thomas Street, SE1, near London Bridge station, into modern workspace.

The move comes after the company secured a lease for the entire 15,000 sq ft, five-storey office from landlord Novo Land + Development. According to market sources, asking rents for the building were around £60 per sq ft.

Last month, Southwark Council green-lit the £2m proposals, created by MiU Design, to redevelop the building. Creo brought forward the plans, with Novo providing a capital contribution to undertake a Cat A refurbishment.

The new facilities will feature a lounge, meeting rooms, phone booths, collaborative space and a private courtyard with a living wall and outdoor seating. Workspaces will be available from 50 sq ft at a price of £600 per desk per month.

In addition, plans include demolition of internal stud partitions and false ceilings to provide working spaces that are more aligned with modern styles of working. The existing staircases will be widened and upgraded.

The building is expected to be operational from October this year. It has been vacant since 2019 after the Guy’s Hospital administration team left the building.

UPS London advised Novo on the deal. Bureau acted on behalf of Creo and has been retained as an agent for the serviced office space.
