The founders of flexible office space consultancy GKRE have closed the company after seven years, parting ways to set up their own consultancies.
Will Kinnear and Douglas Green released a joint statement on the GKRE website stating the move comes in response to “the ever-changing and increasingly dynamic flexible workspace market”. They added that splitting will give their clients “a more focused approach”.
Green has gone on to set up g8 Consult and Kinnear has launched Hewn. Both are new ventures advising property owners and operators on their flex office space plans.
Commenting on setting up his new business, Greensaid: “I… predict we will also see an increase in the M&A activity given current market conditions. This consolidation is also where g8 is well positioned to help operators look at their options in a considered and measured way.”
In a statement announcing his new venture, Kinnear said: “The creation of Hewn is in response to the ever-evolving office market. By providing specialist advice, both commercial property owners and operators will be able to tailor their assets to meet today’s tenant demands.”
GKRE was founded in 2013 by Green and Kinnear. It advised flex space operators including The Boutique Workspace.
