Flex tech advisory firm names new CEO

Jack Kelly, a former GPE flex office leader, has been named chief executive of Office Ready Tech, a technology advisory firm he joined less than six months ago.

Office Ready Tech works with landlords, flexible workspace operators and occupiers and boasts clients including Work Life, Uncommon and Huckletree, advising on issues such as fibre connectivity, door access control systems, wi-fi, audio-visual equipment and energy monitoring sensors.

Kelly joined in March as director of business development and strategic initiatives. He has now taken over the day-to-day running of the business from founding partner John Vaughan. Vaughan and fellow founders Steffan Whiteley, Joe Townley and Paul Townley will now form ORT’s board, with Whiteley also becoming chief technology officer.

Kelly joined from GPE, where he was head of flex customer experience and part of a team mapping out ambitious plans for the company’s flex portfolio. He joined that company in 2021 from Landsec, where he helped to launch the Myo flex brand.

“We all have a huge opportunity in front of us,” said Kelly. “The commercial real estate market worldwide is in an incredible period of evolution, driven largely by technology and the demand for a better customer experience – two areas we are built to serve.

“The market for flexible office space is expected to grow at an annual rate of more than 25% year-on-year. Tech will play a huge role in this growth, presenting everyone in ORT with an opportunity to grow and develop at an exciting and rapid pace.”

Vaughn said: “Jack’s strong track record in the flex workspace industry gives him an excellent understanding of our clients’ needs at a time when technology has never been of greater significance in supporting and evolving the workplace.”
