A structural shift is taking place within the office sector as occupiers demand more than just four walls and a roof from landlords.
The surge in popularity of serviced office providers such as WeWork and The Office Group is now forcing landlords to rethink their offering in order to attract and retain tenants on the best possible rents.
New research from CBRE reports that more than three quarters of landlords surveyed plan to provide some form of flexible serviced office space within the next 12 months, with more than a third looking to establish their own serviced office provision instead of bringing in a third-party operator.
In addition, 92% of UK landlords and investors surveyed now believe that flexible serviced office space was on the brink of becoming mainstream in the office sector.
