Aston Villa football club is planning to build a 100-bedroom hotel next to its Villa Park stadium in Birmingham.
The club is thought to be close to signing a deal to acquire land next to its ground. However earlier plans to extend seating at Villa Park to 50,000 were thrown out, so planning permission may be a problem.
