Fordgate gets go-ahead for Newcastle offices

Fordgate has concluded a Section 106 Agreement with Newcastle city council allowing work to start this spring on Regent Point, a 100,000 sq ft new-build office at the Regent Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. This will be the first major new development for over 25 years at the business park, developed by North British Properties in the mid-1960s. Opposite Fordgate’s scheme, financial giant Northern Rock, has started construction of its new 125,000 sq ft headquarters. It already occupies 450,000 sq ft at the Regent Centre. Fordgate is represented by Atisreal and Knight Frank, who will market the scheme.
