Foreign & Commonwealth Office picks MRI Software to manage portfolio

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office has picked MRI Software to provide the technology through which it can manage its property portfolio.

The FCO will use MRI Software’s Horizon CRE solution through which it will manage more than 5,000 properties across its worldwide portfolio.

The software will enable the FCO to manage its leases and lease accounting, facilities management, health and safety inspections, property and asset valuations and more.

St John Barton MRICS, strategic asset manager at the FCO, said: “The FCO provides a property platform including office and residential accommodation for all government operations overseas (OneHMG).

“The efficient and cost-effective management of our complex portfolio of properties around the world through the effective use of digital tools is critical to the operations of the FCO. Investing in and making the best use of technology is vital to achieving those aims.”
