The Home Office’s Forensic Science Unit is understood to be about to sign up for offices at Arlington’s flagship Birmingham Business Park.
Sources close to the deal have told EGi News that the Home Office is close to agreeing to take 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) at Trident Court. An asking rent of £215 per sq m (£20 per sq ft) is being quoted.
The Forensic Science Unit is currently based in central Birmingham. The deal represents a significant expansion for the department.
Richard Ellis St Quintin is advising the Home Office, while GVA Grimley and Strutt & Parker represent Arlington.
