Former Battersea boss recognised in New Year’s Honours list

The former chief executive of the Battersea Power Station Development Company is among the real estate figures recognised in the King’s New Year’s Honours list.

Simon Murphy has been named an officer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to real estate, heritage and to the community in London. He stepped down from his role at Battersea Power Station in March after 11 years working on the regeneration project.

Murphy said he was “surprised and delighted” by the recognition.
