Former Catella MD David Skinner dies

David Skinner, the former UK managing director of Catella Property Consultants, died suddenly of a heart attack, aged 52, while following his son’s school cricket team tour in the West Indies.

Skinner’s 30-year property career began at Richard Ellis.

He founded Skinners in 1984.

The niche agent and fund manager was bought by Catella in 1998 and Skinner became managing director for the next two years.

He advised on the £125m sale of Angel Court and the £110m sale of East India Dock.

Latterly, Skinner was MD of Nationwide Developments.

He leaves his wife Dominique and three children, Charlotte, Miles and Francesca.
