Former valuations lead at CBRE Michael Brodtman will join Grainger as a non-executive director from 1 January next year.
Brodtman was chairman of the UK advisory arm of CBRE until earlier this year, having spent a 40-year career at the agency. At CBRE, he led the valuation and operational real estate departments, growing specialist teams in emerging sectors and internationally. He moved into the role of chairman in January 2020 and retired on 30 June 2022.
Mark Clare, non-executive chairman at Grainger, said: “Michael is a well-known senior figure in the UK real estate sector… and brings extensive experience in real estate investment to Grainger’s board.”
Brodtman said he was “delighted” to be joining the board at an “exciting time in the company’s strategic growth trajectory, as the company further cements its position as market leader in the UK build-to-rent sector at this important time for the provision of homes across the UK”.
Brodtman has also held a non-executive director position at housing association Places for People and is currently a fellow of the RICS and a trustee of Jewish Care.
