A former psychiatric hospital three miles north of Dorchester has been put up for sale for around £2m by Goadsby & Harding. The 35ha (86.5 acre) site, known as Herrison Village, has outline consent for around 430 houses, a doctor’s surgery, village shop, pub and market place. In addition, 0.8ha (2 acres) has been designated for light industrial and office development.
G&H has also put the former Port Bredy Hospital in Barrack Street, Bridport, on the market for around £500,000, on behalf of Capitec NHS Property Management. Bridport Council is prepared to consider alternative uses for the property.
