St Martins Property Investments is set to refurbish the office block at the front of its More London campus.
The all-clear from Southwark Council means St Martins can launch a full cat A refurbishment of the office space in the seven-storey 6 More London Place, SE1, tenants at which have included accountancy firm Ernst & Young and TNS Global.
Planning documents by consultancy Rolfe Judd said the plans would “enhance and augment the office offering”, making it a “desirable location in the competitive London Bridge office market”.
The second to sixth floors are “vacant or are due to become vacant in the upcoming months”, according to the application, which was lodged in November and approved outside of committee earlier this month.
The project will also involve creating new terraces at levels two to six, extending the reception, installing PV panels and a green roof, as well as creating a new entrance at the rear of the block.
The building was designed by Foster + Partners and was completed in 2003. Architecture firm Barr Gazetas is overseeing the new plans, with Storey acting as project manager.
