The former chief executive of Hyde Housing, Elaine Bailey, has joined housebuilder MJ Gleeson as a non-executive director.
Bailey has extensive experience in housing, engineering, construction and government services gained from a varied career across the private, public, regulated and not-for-profit sectors. She was chief executive of Hyde from 2014 to 2019 and prior to that held senior management roles at Serco and HM Prison Service.
She is expected to become chair of MJ Gleeson’s sustainability committee and a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.
Dermot Gleeson, chairman of MJ Gleeson, said: “Her wide-ranging experience will be highly relevant as we look to the next phase of the group’s development, especially in a post-Covid environment with sustainability at the top of the agenda.”
