Former LLDC boss joins New Towns Taskforce

Lyn Garner, the outgoing chief executive of the London Legacy Development Corporation, has been appointed to the New Towns Taskforce, an independent advisory panel that supports the government on the delivery of new towns.

She will replace Eamonn Boylan, who will stand down from the task force ahead of starting his new role as interim chief executive of Homes England in January 2025.

Garner is a director and chair of Future of London and has been the senior professional lead for the Greater London Authority Group Housing Delivery since 2022. She has more than 25 years’ experience working in leadership positions across housing, regeneration and finance.

The task force is expected to make its recommendations to ministers on the country’s next new towns by summer 2025.
