Receivers have instructed agents to sell the 70,000 sq ft former government-let Kings House in Reading.
The office property, which close to Reading station, was part of the Mapeley portfolio to which Jones Lang LaSalle was appointed as LPA receiver in July 2012.
It is adjacent to Aviva Investors’ office development The Blade , and is likely to attract interest from the office and residential market.
One Reading agent said: “It will be interesting to see what use emerges for this building, as with the uptick in office demand in the town, together with the residential market picking up, it will be a close-run thing.”
RARE and Savills have been appointed selling agents. Offers in excess of £6.5m are sought for vacant possession.
