Sir Norman Foster and Sir Antony Caro have won the international competition to design the first new bridge across the Thames since Waterloo Bridge.
The £8m bridge will provide a link between St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bankside power station, which is being converted into the Tate Gallery’s Museum of Modern Art.
Foster and Caro’s submission will be a pedestrianised bridge which is engagingly simple in design.
